A Considered Refresh of a Bold Architectural Home

This project focused on refining and uplifting a striking, architecturally designed home through a series of measured interior and exterior updates. Rather than altering the structure, the brief centred on enhancing atmosphere, cohesion, and liveability.

Curtains and lighting were updated throughout, and the home was repainted to strengthen its architectural expression while introducing greater warmth and depth. Rugs were carefully introduced to ground key spaces, defining zones and softening the interiors without diminishing their boldness.

The master suite was refreshed with a new colour palette selected to complement the owner’s mid-century furniture collection, while a dedicated focus was placed on a teenager’s retreat creating a space that feels both functional and personal. A previously underutilised living area was transformed into a cosy, moody lounge, offering contrast to the home’s more open spaces.

Externally, the façade received a subtle colour uplift to align with the renewed interior palette. The owner’s large, eclectic art collection was then carefully curated and rehung, ensuring each piece sat comfortably within the updated scheme and architectural framework.

The result is a home that feels reinvigorated and resolved retaining its strong architectural identity while offering a more layered and considered living experience.
